Betty Lou (Alexander) Harris Graham, 80, of Forest, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2016. She was born on Aug. 16, 1936, in Bedford, to the late Alonzo and Blanche Alexander and was raised by the late Betty and Charlie Harris. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, John, Charlie, George, Alonzo and James Alexander; and her sisters, Mattie Bigelow, Lucille Jones, Bessie Braxton, Christine Johnson, Mattie Wright, Elsie Tucker, Elizabeth Jefferson, Margaret Noell, and Teresa Stentson. She graduated from Bedford Training Center, class of 1954 and attended Bluefield State College for two years. Betty was a faithful member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and was a pianist for over 40 years until her health declined. She was a lifetime member of the DAV Ladies Auxillary. She is survived by her devoted and loving daughter and son, Bettina G. Graham and Robert W. Graham III; her brothers, Jessie Alexander and Harold Alexander(Lillie) of Lynchburg; three sisters-in-law, Mary Alexander, Edith Jones, and Elizabeth Johnson (Leroy), all of Forest; three brothers-in-law, Mitchell Graham(Linda) of Lynchburg, Otey Noell of Forest, and David Graham of Bedford; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. A special thank you to Dr. David Wodicka, Dr. William Brown and MTH Transportation for the awesome care of our loved one. A funeral service was held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov 15, 2016, at Oak Grove Baptist Church. Interment was held in Virginia Memorial Park.
