Chase Nathaniel Mullins, 17 of Huddleston, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2015 following a tragic accident. He was born on Monday, Sept. 22, 1997 in Roanoke, a son of Jamie Scott Mullins and Camilla Dellis Mullins of Huddleston who survives. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Judy Burnette Dellis. He was a rising senior at Staunton River High School. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sisters, Brooke M. Mullins and Lilly Mae Mullins both of Huddleston; his maternal grandparents, Donald Hoyt and Linda Dellis of Huddleston; his paternal grandparents, Larry and Barbara Mullins of Moneta; his paternal great grandmother, Jean Mullins Jordan of Moneta; uncles, Chad Mullins and wife, Susan, Daniel Dellis and wife, Tori; aunts, April Barns, Crystal Carter and husband, Greg; step-aunts and uncles, Sarah Powers, Rebekah and Ryan Browning, Andrew and Ann Powers, David Powers, as well as numerous great aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at 11 am at Palestine Baptist Church, 9244 Smith Mountain Lake Parkway, Huddleston with Dr. Kevin King and Brandon Harris officiating. Interment will follow in Palestine Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5 until 8 PM at Palestine Baptist Church. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
