Dolores â€œDollyâ€ Marie Connor Fischer, 88, of Goode, died Sunday, July 27, 2014 at her home. She was born Nov. 21, 1925 in Sayville, New York, a daughter of the late Warren Connor and Dorothy Engel. Dolly was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses in Bedford. She treasured her ministry and shared it with many even in our local nursing homes. She loved dancing and was honored in teaching classes at various studios. She enjoyed roller skating (dance) at which she was a junior champion in her youth. Dolly was very family oriented and loved spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed gardening, flowers, and animals especially her dog, Roxie. In addition to her parents, Dolly was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Daw; and a half-brother, Jim Nelan. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Donald George Fischer; two sons, Gene Fischer and his wife, Amy of Goode, and Ted Fischer and his wife, Shelly of Altavista; six grandchildren, Joshua, Cristin, Kelsey, Landon and his wife, Taegan, Alana, and Keaton; and four great-grandchildren, Omari, Aaliyah, Alisha, and Kallie. A memorial service and celebration of Dollyâ€™s life will be conducted at 2 pm on Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses in Bedford.
