Dorothy Burrows Reynolds, 94, of Bedford, died Easter Sunday, March 27, 2016. She was born in High Point, NC on Feb. 14, 1922 a daughter of the late Clarence Grady Burrows and Ethel Howell Burrows. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, T. E. â€œMikeâ€ Reynolds; her brother, William A. Burrows. Dorothy was a retired legal assistant with William W. Berry IV law office. She was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church; member of the Blue Ridge Garden Club; former board member of the Wharton Foundation and member of the Bedford Book Club. She is survived by her sister, Helen Burrows Arthur and husband, Roger; her nephew, William A. Burrows and wife, Joy; her niece, Deborah Burrows; great-nieces, Darby Allen and Lacy Adams and their families; special caregivers, Rosa Carson, Linda Robertson, Pat Nelms, Shirley Starks and her devoted dog, Holly; many cousins in North Carolina. In lieu of flowers please make memorials to Main Street United Methodist Church. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Burch-Messier Walnut Street Chapel with Rev. Paul Greer officiating. The family will receive friends at the service and other times at the home of her sister, Helen B. Arthur, 1404 Dogwood Ln. Bedford.
