Fenler Wayne McMillan, 73, of Forest, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 28, 2014 in Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the loving and devoted husband of Hattie Pratt McMillan for 55 years. Born in Bedford County on Oct. 21, 1940, he was a son of the late Fenler William McMillan and Lucille Richardson McMillan. He graduated from Montvale High School; attended Duke University and graduated from RPI / VCU. He was a certified accountant for more than 50 years in the Richmond area. Wayne loved the game of golf and at Ivy Hills he was known for his laughter on the course. He was a great Duke Basketball fan and loved his family and friends. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, David (Janann) McMillan of Chesterfield, Billy (Teresa) McMillan of Chester, Laura (Bruce) Cubbage of Chesterfield, Debbie (Larry) Connolly of Winchester, Sandie (Greg) Raines of Georgetown, TX; two sisters, Nancy McMillan of Statesville, NC, Marie Firman of Toano, a brother, Dennis (Patti) McMillan of Red Feather Lakes, CO; 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of Wayneâ€™s Life was conducted 2 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 31, 2014 in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Service by the Rev. Tom Thomas and Pastor Stephen Willis.
