Geneva Shaver Shingleton, 50 of Vinton, passed away on Monday, June 4, 2012 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was a daughter of Lee Shaver and Ovella Lucas Shaver of Salem who survive. In addition to her mother and father, she is survived by her husband, Benjamin Thomas Shingleton, Jr.; two daughters, Cynthia Renee Yoder, Christina Marie Waldron; two sons, Benjamin T. Shingleton III, Joshua Lee Shingleton. A funeral service was conducted on Friday, June 8, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford. Interment followed in Greenwood Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
