Ian William Hustings, 83, Elks National Home of Bedford, died Friday, July 18, 2014. He was born in Bournemouth, England on March 16, 1931 a son of the late William Hustings and Enid Pulsford Hustings. He served in the Royal Air Force in the 1950â€™s. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Baverstock Hustings. Ian brought his family to the United States in 1967 were they lived in the northeast. He moved to the Elks National Home in 2000 where he was very active, serving as Loyal Knight and various other capacities. Ian is survived by his children, Carol Parker, Lorna Seyler, Keith Hustings and Ross Hustings; 12 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and his partner of 20 years, Pauline Hutchins. A memorial service was held 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at the Elks National Home. Burial was in the Elks National Home Cemetery. Arrangements by Burch-Messier Funeral Home, Bedford, 540-586-7360.
