Ida Parker Orange, 86, of Bedford, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2016. She was born in Bedford County, on July 14, 1930, a daughter of the late William Aubrey Parker and LalaCarter Parker. Ida Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Raleigh Thomas â€œTugâ€ Orange; son, Jerry William â€œTrickâ€ Orange; three brothers; and three sisters. She was a homemaker and part owner of Parker and Orange Store. Ida was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She leaves behind a son, Roger T. Orange and wife, Connie of Mr. Airy, NC; daughters, Karen Denise Lang, Regina O. Cheek and husband, Troy, both of Bedford; daughter-in-law, Brenda Kaye Orange of Bedford; brother, Dan Parker of Bedford; sister, Marie Lewis of Panama City, FL; special nephew, Darrell Parker of Bedford; special niece, Terry Orange of Bridgeton, NJ; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous family member that were also dear to her heart. â€œI have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving kindness.â€ Jeremiah 31:3. Rest in peace sweet Mama, and be welcomed with opened arms from your loved ones in Heaven, Amen. In lieu of flowers/food please make donations to any Hospice facility of your choice. A graveside service was held at 2 p.m., on Sunday, Oct. 9, at the Orange Family Cemetery on Taylorâ€™s Mountain, Thaxton, VA, with the Rev. Geoff Hubbard officiating.
