Jack Edward Lacy, Jr., 67 of Moneta, passed away Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born on Sunday, Feb. 3, 1946 in Bedford County, a son of the late Jack Edward Lacy, Sr. and Frances Anne Blankenship Keen. He was also preceded in death by his step-father, Christopher Silas Keen, a sister, Ruth Ann Keen and a brother, Christopher Keen. He was a truck driver with DSI, was a member of Morgans Baptist Church and a veteran of the U. S. Army having served in Vietnam. Surviving is his wife, Cheryl Annette Stephenson Lacy; two sons, Jack Edward Lacy, III and fiance, Jeanette Krantz and her daughter, Dixie Krantz of Bedford, Henderson Lane Lacy and wife, October of Bedford; a step-son, Matthew Alan Smith of Chantilly; three grandchildren, Dana Alexander Lacy, Christopher Lacy and Katlyn Lacy and a brother, John Keen of Lynchburg. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013 at 10 am at Morgans Baptist Church with Rev. Rick Mallory officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
