Jane Rambeau Holmes Amnott, 93, of Bedford, VA, passed away on Friday, Sept. 19, 2014 at her home. She was the wife of the late Delphis â€œDelâ€ Joseph Amnott. Jane was born on Oct. 29, 1920 to the late George Frederick Holmes and the late Rosa Warrington Hodges. She was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church, A.A.U.W., D.A.R., and the Keep Bedford Beautiful Committee. She worked as the Director of Property for the Pines of Carolina Girl Scout Council. In addition to her husband and parents, Jane is preceded in death by her brother, Rev. George Blake Holmes, and her sister, Rosa Warrington Grover. Left behind to cherish Janeâ€™s memory are her three step-daughters: Susan Hinkle, Carole Elizabeth Gunter, and Melinda Clark, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews and their families. A service celebrating Janeâ€™s life was held Sept. 22, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Main Street United Methodist Church with the Rev. Rick Ecklund officiating.
