Since July 2011, Danny has been employed as an investigator by the Bedford County Sheriffâ€™s Office where he was assigned to the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force. Danny was a certified instructor with the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services. In addition to his wife and mother he leaves to cherish his memory two children, Nicholas Daniel Viar and wife, Sarah and Jenny Viar Sims and husband, Stephen; a grandson, Caleb Viar; a brother, Michael Viar; a sister, Karyn Viar; mother-in-law, Dorothy Kerr; sister-in-law, Vickie Barker and friend, Mike Pedro; two brothers-in-law, W.C. Kerr and wife, Julie and Dennis Kerr and wife, Kathy; and many supportive family members and friends. The family will receive relatives and friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2015 at Heritage Funeral Service 427 Graves Mill Rd. Lynchburg and other times at the residence. A Celebration of Dannyâ€™s Life and Faith will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 22, 2015 at Heritage United Methodist Church by the Rev. Will Montgomery.
