Stephen Ray "Wolfie" Witt, 61 of Bedford, passed away Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012 at his residence. He was born on Friday, Feb. 23, 1951 in Bedford County, a son of the late Cedric O. Witt and Annie Gertrude Wilson Witt. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Dianne Goad Witt and a brother, Barry Lynn Witt. Surviving is his daughter, Wendy Witt and husband, William Scott Fogleman of Bedford, three grandchildren, Aaron Cedric Plattus, Quincy Jane Plattus, Elijah Finn Plattus; three sisters, Carol W. Johnson and husband, Jack of Bedford, Cindy W. Shevos of Lynch Station, Glennie Witt of Roanoke; a brother, Cedric Witt, Jr. and wife, Janet of Moneta as well as many friends. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012 from 2 until 6 pm at the home of his daughter, Wendy, 1517 Woodland Road, Bedford. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
