Violet Louise Robinette Blankenship, 68, of Bedford, received her ultimate healing Saturday afternoon, Oct. 22, 2016. She now resides with her Lord and Savior as well as the many loves oneâ€™s who have been waiting for her on the other side. She was born on March 1, 1948, in Iaeger, WV, a daughter of the late Lawrence and Mary Robinette. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by several siblings. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Estel F. Blankeship; one son, Tim Blankenship (Althea); two grandsons, Matt Blankenship (Elizabeth), Jesse Blankenship; sister-in-law, Jean Cline (Roy); brother-in-law, Enos Blankenship (Linda), and five great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 26, at Burch-Messier Walnut Street Chapel, with Rev. Homer Hensley officiating. Burial will follow in Church of the Great Shepherd Cemetery.
