Jenny taught 5th and then 7th grade in Bedford County for 28 years and then retired early due to health issues in 2002. Despite her numerous health issues, she was determined to remain active and treasured her multiple bridge partners, book club and lunches with friends. She looked forward every year to the annual beach trip with family and was happiest when she was with her children and grandchildren- usually preparing a fabulous meal. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2016 at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Rev. Kyle Dooley officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
