On Saturday, Aug. 24th, 2013, The Lord called home, the soul of Marian Elizabeth Martin-Ashman (86), of Bedford Virginia, formally of Marlton NJ. Born on October 27, 1926 in Philadelphia, PA, Marian was the beloved wife of 37 years to the late Frank J. Ashman and daughter of the late Frank Martin and Elizabeth Martin of Philadelphia, PA. Marian is survived by her four children; F. Richard Ashman of FL, Dean Curtis Ashman and wife Barbara of Virginia Beach, VA, David Mark Ashman and wife Janet of Thaxton, VA, and Elizabeth Louise Ashman-Anderson and husband Dale of Bedford, VA., ten grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Marianâ€™s home was always a welcome place for family and friends and the scene of many parties and family cookouts and she was the hostess of many card club gatherings. Marian was a charter member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, of Marlton, NJ, an active member of the Marlton, NJ Public schools PTA where she performed in many shows and skits. Marian worked as an administrator at Burlington County Family Services in Moorestown, NJ. Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Wednesday from 10:00 â€" 11:00 AM at the BRADLEY & STOW FUNERAL HOME, 127 Medford-Mt. Holly Rd., Medford, NJ, where a Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow the service at the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Burlington, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Marianâ€™s name to the Parkinson Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, NY 10018.
