Michael Smith
Dr. Michael R. Smith, 66, peacefully passed away April 22, 2013 at his home with his lovely wife Elaine at his side.
He was born Oct. 3, 1946, in St. Louis, Mo., to the parents of Charles Richard and LaVerne, nee Webers, Smith. He married his soul mate and partner for life, Elaine in 1969, celebrating 44 years of marriage.
Dr. Michael graduated with a Doctorate of Psychology degree from St. Louis University, Class of 1979. He dedicated 27 years of service in organizational development to Nestle Purina, St. Louis, Mo.
Michael loved to spend time on the golf course with his daughter, traveling with his wife and cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals. He had great passion for his grandchildren and soft-coated Wheaton Terriers, Barney and Teddy.
He leaves his loving memories to be cherished by his wife, Elaine, nee Prusak, Smith; daughter, Karley (Dameion) Thompson of Collinsville, Ill.; brother, Timothy M. Smith of Ballwin, Mo.; and granddaughters, Gabrielle and Olivia Thompson who will greatly miss their Papi.
Funeral: A memorial service will be held at noon Saturday, April 27, 2013, at St. Boniface Church in Edwardsville, Ill. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Elaine and Karley, we are so sorry about your loss. It was an incredible shock to us - enjoyed seeing and visiting just the night before. Elaine, you and Mike went through a lot of trying times. Our sorrow is very deep.
