Pauline Allen
Pauline A. Allen, nee Martinez, 73, of Fairmont City, Ill., born Dec. 31, 1939, in East St. Louis, Ill., died Friday, Dec. 6, 2013, at her home surrounded by her family.
Pauline was a homemaker and a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Fairmont City, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Judith Rae Allen; her parents, Leopold and Caridad, nee Fernandez, Martinez; a brother, Raymond Martinez; her sisters, Mary Byrd, Anita Carey, Eveleyn Martinez and Carrie Hodges; and her daughter-in-law, Melanie Allen.
Surviving are her loving husband of 54 years, Robert "Buzz" Allen, Sr.; her children, Robert "Bobby" Allen, Jr. of Fairmont City, Ill., Shari (Rik) Ruff of Bellevue, Neb., and Mary Jo (Greg) O'Neil of Shiloh, Ill.; her grandchildren, Brandon (Alex) Allen, Nicholas Allen and Jamie Allen; her devoted dog Goldie; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give a special thank you to her nurse Dawn Chamberlin and the rest of the staff at Vitas Hospice Care.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Vitas Hospice Care, 8 Executive Drive Suite 125B, Fairview Heights, Ill. or to Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 2716 North 42nd Street, Fairmont City, Ill. 62201 in the form of masses. Visitation: Friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Fairmont City, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral Mass will be held at noon on Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Fairmont City, Ill., with Father David Wilke officiating. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Collinsville, Ill.

Aunt Pauline has left her family and friends on earth for a little while. We will all miss her very much.She's joined her family in Heaven with open arms.I'm sure they are all sitting around a big table catching up on all the stories!
