Michael Antkowiak Michael J. Antkowiak, 79, of Cahokia, Ill., born Jan. 31, 1937, in Nashville, Ill., blessed with the sacraments of Holy Mother Church on May 19, 2016. Michael retired from Killark Electric. Later in life he met and married Janet Seidenstricker who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by children, Marvin and Mary Antkowiak; parents, Casmir and Frances Antkowiak; a sister, Stella Smukala; and a brother-in-law, Charles Wnuk. Surviving are his daughters, Michelle and Paula Antkowiak; twin sister, Sophie (Charles) Wisneski and sister, Angeline Wnuk; great-uncle, Joe Antkowiak; many nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Flowers or masses at your church preferred. Visitation: Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at the Chapel of St. Louis Cremation. 2135 Chouteau Ave., St. Louis, Mo. Sarah Arnett Sarah E. Arnett, 37, of Canton, Ill., born Aug. 16, 1978, in St. Louis, Mo., passed away Saturday, May 21, 2016, at Unity Point Methodist Hospital, Peoria, Ill. Sarah was a Title I reading specialist at Eastview Elementary School in Canton, Ill., and a member of Suburban Baptist Church in Granite City, Ill. She enjoyed reading, but most of all she was a loving wife, mother and daughter. She enjoyed spending her time with her kids and family. Surviving are her husband, Darren M. Arnett, whom she married on June 5, 2004, in Table Grove, Ill.; her children, Madelyn and Mason; her mother, Cindy (Stephen) Rice of Cape Fair, Mo.; her father, Bill (Catherine) Patterson of Page, Ariz.; maternal grandparents, Barbara and Jerry Smith of Granite City, Ill.; a brother, Billy (Jamie) Patterson of Glen Carbon, Ill.; sister, Rebekah Patterson of Granite City, Ill.; and her mother and father-in-law, Lyle and Dorothy Arnett of Lewistown, Ill.
