Zachary Epplin Zachary D. Epplin, 19, of Waterloo, Ill., born Feb. 25, 1996, in Belleville, Ill., passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at home with his family at his side. Zac loved being the big brother of the family and always had a bit of advice or a good practical joke ready for us. He loved his pets very much and had hoped to one day become a veterinarian. He was very proud to have been teammates with his high school soccer team. Zac liked to fish and hunt and grill up a good meal to share with us. He put his family and friends above himself and we were all blessed to have known him even if it was only for a short time. Surviving are his parents, Doug and Beverly, nee Meyer, Epplin; his brothers, Lucas, Matthew, and Andrew Epplin; special friend, Kassy Clark of Smithton, Ill.; maternal grandparents, Kenny and Betty, nee Andres, Meyer of Columbia, Ill.; paternal grandparents, Robert and Janet, nee Langa, Epplin of Pinckneyville, Ill.; aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends. Jacob Esparza Jacob Vincent Esparza, 1, of Caseyville, Ill., born Nov. 19, 2013, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at Cardinal Glennon Hospital in St. Louis, Mo., of complications from CDH and pulmonary hypertension. Jacob was preceded in death by his grandfather, Gino Esparza; great-grandfather, George Penn; and great-great-grandmother, Edna Woodring. Essington, Lorraine - Glen Carbon  
Lorraine Essington Lorraine A. Essington, 95, of Glen Carbon, Ill., formerly of Venice, Ill., born May 19, 1920, in Venice, Ill., passed away at 12:48 a.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at her home. Mrs. Essington was an office manager at Auto Terminals in Venice, Ill. for 15 years. She was a volunteer at Gateway Hospital and Venice Jr. Service Club. Lorraine was a member of Good Shepard United Methodist Church in Granite City, Ill. She was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Essington, whom she married on Dec. 23, 1944, in Madison, Ill.; her parents, Ferd H. and Marie A., nee Mewes, Hall; a stepson, Carl Essington; brother, Gilbert Hall; and step grandson, John Essington. Surviving are her children, Richard (Niecey) Essington of Glen Carbon, Ill., and Sally (Bill) Levy of Lebanon, Mo.; grandchildren, Cari (Aaron Suess) Varble, and Brian (Tori) Sorenson; step grandchild, Carolyn (James) Patterson; great-grandchildren, Kyle Varble, Kayla Varble, Kloi Karban, Abby Sorenson and Laney Sorenson; sister-in-law, Jean Hall and niece Helen Hall; and step daughter-in-law, Delores Essington.
