Ruth Dour Ruth L. Dour, nee Brinson, 91, of Edwardsville, Ill., born Friday, June 22, 1923, in East St. Louis, Ill., died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014 at Liberty Village of Maryville in Maryville, Ill. Ruth was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and loved everyone and everyone loved her. She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Dour; parents, John and Emma, nee Pulliam, Brinson; brothers, John Brinson and Wendell Brinson; and sisters, Thelma Pepper, Bernadine Johnston, Bernice Barnhart Kirkland and Winifred Brinson; and a granddaughter, Lynn Renee Ballard. Surviving are her children, Susan Jane (Dick) Ballard of Nixa, Mo., William "Skip" (Sheila) Dour of Edwardsville, Ill., and Gail E. (Dr. Kenneth) Wiehe of Paris, Ill.; brothers, William "Bill" (Jeanette) Brinson of Collinsville, Ill., and Richard "Dick" (Dean) Brinson of Collinsville, Ill.; nine grandchildren, Tim (Jessica) Ballard, Amy (Michael) Olmsted, Chris (Shana) Ballard, Scott Dour, Adam Dour, Andrew (Jenn) Dour, Daniel Wiehe, Alex Dour and Katelyn Wiehe; and 10 great-grandchildren, Chandler Olmsted, Lakyn Olmsted, Cade Ballard, Rylen Ballard, Sage Ballard, Ashlyn Olmsted, Mattox Ballard, Amos Dour, Makinna Ballard and Oren Dour. Dyjeski, Frank - Madison  
Frank Dyjeski Frank Eugene "Frankie" Dyjeski, 81, of Madison, Ill., born Jan. 15, 1933, in Madison, Ill., died Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Mo. Mr. Dyjeski was a meat cutter at Millers Provision in Madison, Ill., for 42 years. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Mary's Boosters, and the St. Stanislaus Lodge 1004 in Madison. He was a resident of Dutchtown Care Center in St. Louis, Mo., for the past five years. Frankie loved and collected Polka music, his C.B. Radio handle was "Polish Falcon", and he was an avid fisherman. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Dyjeski; mother, Kathryn Turski Jaworowski Dyjeski; brothers, Joseph Jaworowski and Leonard Dyjeski; sisters, Jennie Dyjeski, Eve Jaworowski Majkut and Mary "Mamie" Jaworowski Docter; and three sisters in infancy. Surviving are his brother, Stanley Joseph (Helen) Dyjeski of Troy, Ill.; nephews, Eugene Dyjeski of Troy, Ill., and Stanley J. Dyjeski Jr., of Troy, Ill.; niece, Connie (Jerry) Grupas of Madison, Ill.; brother-in-law, Rudolph Majkut of Madison; nephew, Glenn (Donna) Docter of Edwardsville; great-nieces, Angela (Marc) Grupas of Creve Coeur, Mo., and Jillene (Richard) Docter Gedmin of Edwardsville; great-great-nephew, Zane Gedmin; and many cousin and friends. Mary worked as an administrative assistant for the St. Louis Cardinals. She was a former member of First United Presbyterian Church, Belleville, Ill. Edmiston, Jr. Surviving are her sister, Dorothy Huard of Smithton, Ill.; and many dear nieces and nephews. Evans, David G. - Glen Carbon  
David Evans David G. Evans, 85, of Glen Carbon and formerly of Granite City, Ill., born Sept. 19, 1929, passed away Sunday, December 21, 2014, at his home. Dave worked at A.O. Smith in Granite City, Ill., retiring as a maintenance superintendent in 1991 after 37 years. He also served with the U.S. Marine Corps. Dave had an avid love for cars that began at an early age with him operating his own gas station at the age of 18. It led to him working as a mechanic for the Marines and being able to identify the make, model, and year of almost any car. This mechanical aptitude aided him for years in his job at A.O. Smith. Dave was involved with bowling leagues and tournaments from the late 1950's through the 1960's. He later engaged in competitive trap shooting and hunting with friends. In his retirement Dave enjoyed home improvement and handy/craft projects with his wife Cathy of 43 years. The home they created was "Grand Central" for the entire family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roland D. and Violet L., nee Slay, Evans; and his first wife, Terese, nee Kozielek, Evans. Surviving are his wife, Catherine J., nee Riggins, Evans, of 43 years, whom he married on March 12, 1971, in Granite City, Ill.; three sons and two daughters-in-law, David and Debbie Evans of Edwardsville, Ill.; Paul Evans of Springfield, Mo., and Tim and Loretta Evans of Glen Carbon, Ill.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Angela and Tim Bramstedt of Glen Carbon, Ill., and Maggie and Paul Linden of Minneapolis, Minn.; nine grandchildren, Brad Evans, Kyle Evans, Kameron Evans, Kassidy Evans, Sam Bramstedt, George Bramstedt, Frederick Bramstedt, Cora Linden and Monty Linden; a sister Ruth, nee Evans, King of Walnut Creek, Calif.; other extended family and friends. Dave touched many lives. Those who knew him are left with many memories. He was a loyal, loving and supportive friend, son, husband, father and grandfather.
