Brian Faubion Obituary

Brian Faubion

Brian Philip Faubion, 21, of Shiloh, Ill., born on Jan. 15, 1991, in Biloxi, Miss., died Thursday, March 1, 2012. He was 21 years old.

Brian was a loving, intelligent, and funny young man. He is known to his friends and family as a jokester, with a subtle and sarcastic sense of humor. People gravitated to Brian because of his friendliness and generosity. A fan of classic literature, Brian collected classic books. He was also a musician, and collected classic Rock and Roll vinyl albums. His knowledge of classic literature and rock music was beyond belief and you dare not attempt to debate him on these subjects!

Brian aspired to be a high school history teacher, and was planning his pursuit of this career. He graduated from O'Fallon Township High School in 2009 and had attended SWIC and Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville, Ill. He had also been employed at JC Penney in Minot, N.D. He loved his miniature dachshund, which he adopted when he was seven years old. Brian's dog remains with his parents and sister to remind them of Brian's loving and caring nature.

Surviving are his parents, Kurt and Julie, nee Bream, Faubion; his sister, Molly Faubion; his sister, Lani Fischer; and his four nieces, Eliana, Alyssa, Gabriella, and Erica; his grandparents, Phil and Carol Bream; Sharon and John Albro; Roberta Faubion; and Janice Faubion; his uncles and aunts, Allan and Maria Bream, Laurie and Steve Von Fumetti; Jeff and Dena Bream, Kristie and Mark Christenson, Kary Presley, Niccole and Dan Dees, Rick and Jackie Porter, Becky Porter, Darren and Katy Porter and Tim Porter; and cousins, Chloe, Gabriella, Michael, Gabe, Alassandra, Christopher, Kaitlin, Zach, Zeke, Connor, Milo, Grace and Alyssa.

He was preceded in death by his precious grandmother, Connie Bream, who died Feb. 19, 1990; and his loving grandfather, Larry Faubion, who died March 9, 2008.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Brian Faubion Memorial Fund, care of Scott Credit Union; proceeds will be distributed to local charities.

The grief and pain never goes away, as no parent should ever lose a child. Pain and grief does ease slowly with time. Hang onto the beautiful memories and cherish the time you had with him.
