Gary Kincer

Gary C. "G.P." Kincer, 65, of Granite City, Ill., born March 12, 1949, in St. Louis, Mo., passed away Monday, March 31, 2014, at Gateway Regional Hospital in Granite City, Ill.

Gary had worked for Access Career in St. Louis as a stereo installer as well as CMC in Granite City. He was a member of the Granite City Eagles where he belonged to the Eagles Bass Club. Gary also was a member of the Town & Country Gun Club and the National Rifle Association and in his free time he enjoyed tinkering with computers.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Norval and Marie, nee Shallart, Kincer.

He is survived by and will be missed by his wife, Chris, nee Hoosier, Kincer, whom he married on August 29, 1970; daughters, Carrie Ostresh of Granite City, and Nicole "Nicci" Kincer of New Florissant, Mo.; grandson, Stephen Ostresh of Granite City; and his brother, Rick Kincer of Old Monroe, Mo.

Memorials in Gary's name may be made to the Salvation Army Tree of Lights Campaign, 1130 Hampton Ave., St. Louis, MO 63139.

Visitation: In celebration of his life a memorial gathering will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 5, 2014, at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City, Ill.

Funeral: A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 5, 2014, at the funeral home with Pastor Clint Wisdom officiating.
