Betty Sharkey
Betty J. Sharkey, nee Rich, 77, of Belleville, Ill., born Oct. 19, 1929, in Lansing, Mich., died Thursday, May 24, 2007, at her residence.
Mrs. Sharkey was a member of Faith Family Church, Shiloh, Ill., and an original member of Bellettes Drum and Bugle Corps.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Sharkey; her parents, Roy V. and Lillian Rich; and two brothers, Roy V. Rich Jr. and Bobby Jo Rich.
Surviving are her son, James Vernon (Christina) Sharkey of Great Meadows, N.J., two daughters, Kathleen Yosco of Phoenix, Ariz., and Robin Billie of Belleville, Ill.; a sister, Nancy Engler of Belleville, Ill.; five grandchildren, Philip Vernon Sharkey, Jamie Pashia, Tommy Bentlyewsky, Shannon Bentlyewsky, and Caitlin Billie; and two great-grandchildren, Alayna Pashia and Kylie Dell Mastro.

Visitation: Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, 2007, at Pete Gaerdner Funeral Home, Belleville, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, 2007, at Pete Gaerdner Funeral Home, Belleville, Ill., with the Rev. John Temple officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Belleville, Ill.
