Francis F. "Franz" Feigl, 78, of Pontoon Beach, Ill., born Oct. 26, 1934, in East St. Louis, Ill., died Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013, at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, Ill.
Francis worked for Ameren (Union Electric) for over 30 years. He was a member of the VFW
and I.B.E.W. Local 1439. Francis spent many years coaching his children's baseball and soccer teams.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alexander and Rosina, nee Hagen, Feigl; and his brothers and sisters, Marie (France) Leveling, Alex (Dorothy) Feigl, Rosina (George) Nicoloff and James (Dorothy) Feigl.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth Ann, nee Gunnels, Feigl; his children, Kathleen (George) Sykes of Granite City, Ill., Kristine Feigl (Robert Dalton) of Granite City, Ill., and Gregory (Marilyn) Feigl of Chesterfield, Mo.; his grandchildren, Jacob Long, Lindsey Feigl, Grant Sykes, Brady Feigl and Gage Sykes; his brothers and sisters, Louie (Joyce) Feigl of Beardstown, Ill., Marcella (Clarence) Lang of Imperial, Mo., Vincent (Kathy) Feigl of Rushville, Ill., Alice (Marvin) Boyer of South Lyon, Mich., and Jeanie (Paul) Schmidt of Belleville, Ill.; his sisters-in-law, Judy (Kenny) Mateycak of Thompsonville, Ill., and Michelle (Ron) Whittle of Osceola, Iowa; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, at Kassly Mortuary, Fairview Heights, Ill.
Funeral: Memorial services will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, at Kassly Mortuary Chapel, Fairview Heights, Ill. Franz' wishes were to donate his body for medical research at Washington University School of Medicine.
