James John Hohrein, 67, of O'Fallon, Ill., born July 22, 1946, passed away July 14, 2014.
Jim spent his early childhood in Blackjack, Ill., and
later moved to Washington Park, Ill., and graduated from Assumption Catholic High School in 1964. He worked for General Motors
for 39 years and was an active member at St. Nicholas Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council 4239.
A hard-working dad, Jim was an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed being outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Henrietta, nee Bugger, Hohrein; and a sister in infancy.
Surviving are his wife, Kitty, nee Buckley, Hohrein, whom he married Nov. 5, 1971,; three daughters, Lisa (Jonathan) Harley of O'Fallon, Ill., Denise (Jonathan Kirsch) Buckley of Chicago, Ill., and Julie (Daniel) Watkins of Kansas, Okla.; his dad Charles (Ann Lund-DeMond) DeMond; two grandchildren, Amanda and Caitlin Harley, (and one on the way); a brother Rocky (Nancy) DeMond of E. Carondelet, Ill.; a niece Aubrey (Derek) Parker; and brother-in-law James Buckley.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 17, 2014, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, and after 9 a.m. Friday, July 18, 2014, at the church. Yesterday's Kids will conduct a walk through at 9:15 a.m. Friday at the church.
Funeral: Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, July 18, 2014, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, with Msgr. William J. Hitpas presiding. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Shiloh, Ill.
