Larry M. Schurman, 67, of Carlyle, Ill., formerly of Breese, Ill., born Jan. 13, 1946, in Breese, Ill., died at 1:25 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013, at his residence.
Larry worked as a draftsman for Missouri Pacific Railroad for 20 years followed by the remaining years at Ameren Union Electric. Larry was an avid outdoorsman with a great love of hunting and fishing. He was a US Army
veteran of the Vietnam War
and was a former member of St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice and Loretta, nee Winter, Schurman.
Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Judy, nee Haas, Schurman; two sons, Christopher (fiancee, Sarah ) Schurman of Highland, Ill., and Scott (Tina) Schurman of Belleville, Ill.; three grandchildren, Bryce, Colten and Jenna; and three brothers, Gene (Linda) Schurman of Breese, Ill., Jim (Kathy) Schurman of Breese, Ill., and John (Val) Schurman of Belleville, Ill.

Visitation: Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese, Ill.
Funeral: A memorial mass will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, at the church with the Rev. Pat Peter officiating. Burial of his cremated remains will be at a later date.
