Melinda Kay Mudd, nee Lercher, 55, of Freeburg, Ill., born April 14, 1958, in Belleville, Ill., died Saturday, June 8, 2013, at her residence.
Melinda was a server at Tony's Restaurant in Mascoutah, Ill., for more than 15 years. She also worked at Tom's Foodland in Freeburg, Ill. She was a tremendous Elvis fan and loved spending time with her beautiful grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Elmer C. Lercher Sr.; her mother, Audrae N., nee Gargus, Moore; three sisters, Carol Sue Andrews, Frances Baker and Jacqueline Garland; and one brother, Elmer Lercher Jr.; brothers-in-law, Mick Kieffer and Michael Garland; and a niece, Tanya Coleman.
Surviving are her children, Morgan (Justin) Belding of Freeburg, Ill., Olivia (Steven) Tomei of Freeburg , Ill., and Cameron Mudd of Freeburg, Ill.; two grandchildren, Sophia and Madelyn Belding; a brother, Patrick Johnson of Kennewick, Wash.; four sisters, Kathleen Kieffer of St. Paul, Minn., Vivian Haddock (Mike Wilson) of Fairview Heights, Ill., Cindy Coleman of Hopewell, Va., and Laura (Jim) McGarry of Smithton, Ill.; brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law; nieces and nephews; and good friends, Joan Moake, Jim Alton, Julie Jackson, Jackie Moses and Margaret and Charles Prange.
