Master Sgt. Thomas J. Beck, 80, of Shiloh, Ill., born Oct. 6, 1933, in Winston-Salem, N.C, died Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Belleville, Ill.
Mr. Beck retired from the United States Air Force and later worked for the Defense Mapping Agency as a mapping specialist. A proud member of the Republican Party, Tom loved to travel. He visited all 50 of the United States and traveled the world.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Rita Fuller; his parents, Marvin Percy and Mary Magdeline, nee Simmons, Beck; two brothers, Jack and David Beck; and two sisters, Margaret Mills and Lilly Cavanaugh.
Surviving are three daughters, Lynn (Robert) Chastain of Millstadt, Ill., Beverly (Steve) Kavookjian of Dadeville, Ala., and Karen (Ted) Beck-Hirschfeld of Chicago, Ill.; six grandchildren, Lauren and Emily Chastain, Kelsey and Steven Kavookjian, and Brett and Random Fuller; a brother, Joseph (Sandra) Beck of Virginia; and a sister, Dorcaf (Earl) McNeil of North Carolina.

Visitation: Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24, 2014, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24, 2014, at the funeral home, with his brother, Rev. Joseph Beck officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Mo.
