Imogene Cook Obituary
Imogene Margaret Cook, of Colorado Springs, Colo., formerly of New Baden, Ill., born March 19, 1925, in Breese, Ill., passed away Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2010, at Pikes Peak Hospice, after a short battle with complications from heart disease.
Imogene graduated from New Baden High School in New Baden, Ill. She was a librarian most of her professional life and worked at the base library at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois.
Imogene was active in the local school system, the Methodist Church and various civic organizations.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Cook whom she married on Feb. 23, 1944; and her parents, Oscar and Margaret, nee Singler, Poos.
Surviving are her three sons, Robert (Joanie) Cook of Colorado Springs, Colo., Denny (Kathy) Cook of Carrollton, Ill., and James Cook of Trenton, Ill.; three grandsons, four granddaughters, and nine great-grandchildren.

Extending my condolences to the family. Though I was five years younger than Imogene I attended the Methodist Church with the
Poos and Cook families until my marriage. I'm sure Imogene's
warm smile and enthusiasm will be missed by many.

To Imogene's Family,
I worked with Imogene at Scott till she retired. She was a wonderful lady and loved her work. She always had good ideas for the library programs.
I remember all the Christmas trees she had in her house. Her and Charles loved to square dance. I have many memories of Imogene.
