Bernice Kolweier

Mrs. Bernice Kolweier of Addieville, Ill., departed this life in the Friendship Manor Health Care Center in Nashville, Ill., Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014, at 6:30 a.m. She had attained the age of 90 years, 2 months and 3 days.

Bernice was born in Plum Hill Township, Washington County, Ill., on Sept. 12, 1924, the daughter of William and Ida, nee Hemminghaus, Blumhorst. She was united in marriage to Elmer Kolweier at the home of her parents on Nov. 26, 1944, and he preceded her in death on July 7, 2003.

Mrs. Kolweier was a homemaker. She was a faithful member of the Zion United Church of Christ, Addieville, Ill., where she was a member of the Women's Guild. In their younger years, she and Elmer enjoyed going to dances, and she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Violet Guest; and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Left to mourn her passing are her two children, Kenneth Kolweier and wife Sharon of Addieville, Ill., and Carol Kraft and husband Mike of Nashville, Ill.; three grandchildren, Nicholas Kolweier and wife Stacy of Okawville, Ill., Kimberly Mueller and husband Tim of Addieville, Ill., and Lacey Kraft of Nashville and her fianc‚, Alex Wiegmann; one great-grandson, Nixon Kolweier; a brother-in-law, Charles Guest of Nashville, Ill.; three sisters-in-law, Selma Steinkamp of Plum Hill, Ill., Laverne Kolweier of Nashville, Ill., and Marie Kolweier of Okawville, Ill.; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as a host of friends.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2014, at Campagna Funeral Home, Okawville, Ill., and from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, at Zion United Church of Christ, Addieville, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2014, at 11 A.M. with Rev. Bill Groennert officiating. Interment will be in the St. John Cemetery, Plum Hill, Ill.
