Alberta Jane Farenzena, 84, of Collinsville, Ill., born Tuesday, Feb. 10, 1931, in East St. Louis, Ill., passed away Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2016.
Alberta was an operator for PBX and later a secretary for a home business.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis T. Farenzena Sr., whom she married on Jan. 27, 1950; parents, Albert and Rose, nee Hauser, Jenkins; and a son, Louis T. Farenzena Jr.
Surviving are her son, John A. Farenzena of Collinsville, Ill.; brother, George Jenkins of Collinsville, Ill.; sister-in-law, Amelia (Anthony) Picatto of Collinsville, Ill.; niece, Alexandra (Chris) Picatto Olivero of Toluca Lake, Calif.; and niece, Antoinette Picatto of Pasadena, Calif.
Alberta is further survived by godchild, Lori Ferkel; close cousins, Barb Purlee, Pat Connely, and Joan Dervalis; and numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends.
Memorials may be made to the Billhartz Animal Shelter.
Visitation: Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016, at Herr Funeral Home, Collinsville, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016, at the funeral home. Interment will conclude at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery, Collinsville, Ill.
