Alexis M. D'Amico, 16, of Grantfork, Ill., formerly of St. Jacob, Ill., and Trenton, Ill., born May 15, 1998, in Belleville, Ill., died Monday, September 1, 2014, at St. Louis University Hospital, St. Louis, Mo.
Alexis was a junior at Highland High School, Highland, Ill., and a member of The Pentacostals of Troy, Troy, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Mary Beulah, nee Rhue, Smith; her paternal grandparents, Dante Sr. and Louise, nee Careri, D'Amico; and an uncle, Robert Smith, Jr.
Surviving are her parents, Vicky, nee Smith, D'Amico of Nashville, N.C., and Dante D'Amico, Jr. of Grantfork, Ill.; three brothers, Eric (Jerica) D'Amico of Raleigh, N.C., Joshua Stroder of St. Louis, Mo., and Jonathan Stroder of Colorado Springs, Colo.; maternal grandfather, Robert Smith Sr. of Newport, N.C.; a nephew, Raylan D'Amico; and aunts and uncles, Crystal Brown of Nashville, N.C., Jerry Smith of Garner, N.C., Ricky Smith of Newport, N.D., and Carl D'Amico of California.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 4, 2014, at the church, with Rev. Joseph Lawhorn officiating. Interment at a later date in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Newport, N.C.
