Anthony Buss

Anthony Charles Buss, 73, of East Carondelet, Ill., born Sept. 10, 1942, in Belleville Ill., passed away at 6:06 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2015, at John Cochran VA Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.

Anthony was an Army veteran. He worked for many years as a roofer and retired from Knipp Roofing in Belleville. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Swansea, Ill., and was a loyal Chicago Cubs fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony Henry and Amanda Eva, nee Doetsch, Buss; and a daughter, Toni Buss.

He is survived by two daughters, Angie (Dave) Nelson of Collinsville and Crissy Buss of Belleville; seven grandchildren, Candice Nelson of Collinsville, Tiffany (David) Dasher of Belleville, Michael Buss of Belleville, Brett Nelson of St. Louis, Mo., Cody Buss of Millstadt, Toni Buss of Swansea, and Victoria Nelson of Collinsville; three great-grandchildren, Connor, Briella and Kolton; a brother, Tom (Sharon) Buss of Belleville; two sisters, Jeanie Arpin of Red Bud and Patty (Elmer) Minemann of Belleville; numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family and will be accepted at the funeral home.

Visitation: Memorial visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 28, 2015, at Barry Wilson Funeral Home in Maryville, Ill.

Funeral: Private burial will take place at a later date at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Mo.
