Barbara Kay Davidson, 49, of O'Fallon, Ill., born July 28, 1957 in East St. Louis, Ill., died Monday, Dec. 11, 2006, at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, Ill.
Barbara received a bachelors degree in education from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, Ill., and had taught profoundly handicapped children. Although, Barbara was paralyzed due to a diving accident, she never complained and never gave into her handicap. She was very independent, well organized and disciplined. Barbara had been a customer service representative for National Telecommunications Institute.
She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Brown and a brother, Edward Brown.
Barbara is survived by her parents, Elizabeth (Charles) Carter of Fairview Heights, Ill.; three sisters; Carol (Bob) Sapp of Fairview Heights, Ill., Cindy Davidson of O'Fallon, Ill., and Theresa (Ronald) Robinson of St. Jacob, Ill.; a brother, Tim Carter of Charleston, S.C.; a nephew, Jason (Mary Ann) Hoffman of Beale AFB, Calif.; a niece, Catherine Robinson of St. Jacob, Ill.; two great nephews and a great niece.

Funeral: Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2006, at Schildknecht Funeral Home, O'Fallon, Ill., with the Rev. James Deiters officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Shiloh, Ill.
