Mr. Benjamin Franklin Garrett, 55, of Belleville, Ill., was born Jan. 6, 1952, in Memphis, Tenn., departed on Aug. 16, 2007, in Belleville, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Venezuela, nee McLemore, Garrett; a son, Brennen Garrett; and a sister, Mattielean Owens.
He leaves to cherish his memory daughters, Lisa (Randolph) Nelson and Tammy (Wasmin) Walker; sons, Benjamin (Jennifer)
Garrett, Jr., Brandon (fiance Ashlie) Garrett and Dontae (Dacia) Garrett; step-daughter, Brenae Lowery; brothers, John (Vivian) Garrett, Lavell (Linda) Garrett and Finnus (Toni) Garrett; a sister, Mary Buckner; and 18 grandchildren.
Visitation: Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, 2007, at Centreville Church of Christ, 7435 Old Missouri Rd., Centreville, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 24, 2007, at Centreville Church of Christ, Centreville, Ill., with Bro. Ralph Smith officiating. Burial will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Mo.
