Bernice Virginia Samoska, 89, of Maryville, Ill., born Aug. 18, 1927 in East St. Louis, Ill., passed away at 7:05 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 18, 2016 at Eden Village Care Center in Glen Carbon, Ill., and celebrated her birthday in heaven with her husband, Walter, and her Lord and Savior.

Most of all she enjoyed being with her family and her dogs.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter O. "Ozzie" Samoska, whom she married on Oct. 22, 1949; her parents, Cornelius and Mary, nee Ernst, Reiniger; a son, Wally Samoska; a sister, Dolores Holliday; and a brother, Eugene Reiniger.
