Betty "Jo" Potts, nee Wilson, 80, of Belleville, Ill., born April 4, 1927, in East St. Louis, Ill., died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2008, at Memorial Convalescent Center, Belleville, Ill.
Mrs. Potts was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Belleville, Ill., and Women of the Moose Lodge 1221. She enjoyed bingo, took great pride in the achievements of her grandchildren, and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother to her family, and was a devoted friend.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William "Scotty" and Nina J., nee Mullins, Mason; a daughter, Penny Elizabeth Potts; and her grandmother, Mae Gentry.
Surviving are her husband of almost 59 years, William Bill" Potts; her six children, Pam (Bill) Potts-Hustedde of Belleville, Ill., Rick (Mary Zarinelli) Potts of Columbia, Ill., Mary (Ted) Taylor of Belleville, Ill., Terry Potts of Belleville, Ill., William H. (Lisa) Potts II of Dacono, Colo., and Joyce (Bob) Herrington of Fairview Heights, Ill.; 12 grandchildren, Jessi and Marcus Hustedde, Luke and Nick Potts, Rod and Tiffany Taylor, Kelly (Jason) Donjon, Gus (Vicki) Feldker, Brad and Joey Potts, and Kevin and Rory Herrington; four great-grandchildren, Kaila and Rodney Taylor, and Austin "Bubba" and Andy Donjon; as well as a great-grandchild soon to be born; and many dear and loving friends.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2008, at Valhalla Holten Funeral Home, Belleville, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:40 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, 2008, for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Belleville, Ill., with Father Clyde Grogan officiating. Interment will be at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Ill.
