Brian Earney

Brian Michael Earney, 41, of Pontoon Beach, Ill., born Nov. 4, 1974, in St. Louis, Mo., passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2016, at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, Ill., after a courageous battle with cancer.

Brian was a fan of NHRA drag racing, and the St. Louis Blues. He loved fishing, photography and spending time with his family. He had been employed as a 2nd Pressman with Stolze Printing.

He was preceded in death by an uncle, Danny Joe Earney; and grandparents, Marge and Harold Cockrell, and Helen Earney.

Surviving are his wife, Lisa Marie, nee Hunt, Earney, whom he married on Oct. 31, 1997, in Edwardsville, Ill.; three sons, Ryan, Austin and Zachary Earney of Pontoon Beach, Ill.; his parents, Dennis (Patty) Earney of St. Louis, Mo., and Colleen Hendrix Tilley of Pontoon Beach, Ill.; a sister, Nina Jones of Chicago, Ill.; his mother-in-law, Vicky D. Hunt of Pontoon Beach, Ill.; a sister-in-law, Pamela Portwood of Pontoon Beach, Ill.; his grandfather, Orville "Red" Earney of Hillsboro, Mo.; two nephews, Brandon and Kyle Robinson of St. Charles, Mo.; and many extended family and friends "TeamBrian."

Memorial donations may be made to the family for the benefit of his children.

Visitation: Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, February 12, 2016, at Wojstrom Funeral Home, Granite City, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 13, 2016, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Memorial Estates, Glen Carbon, Ill.
