Carl Ezra Tidwell, 82, of Granite City, Ill., born April 17, 1934, in McEwen, Tenn., passed away Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016, at Stearns Nursing & Rehab Center, Granite City, Ill.
Carl had worked for Nestle Corporation in the maintenance department, retiring in 1997 after forty-two years of dedicated service. Carl enjoyed hunting; fishing and he loved being outdoors. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. Carl loved life, he loved to laugh, but most of all he loved his family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Noah and Eunice, nee Lester, Tidwell; one daughter, Karla Keithly; two sisters, Brenda Anderson and Joyce Arsenmen; and two brothers, Tommy and Ted Tidwell.
Survived are his loving children, Delbert Tildwell of Highland, Ill., Sharon (Rick) Jones of Millstadt, Ill., and Linda Tidwell of Granite City, Ill.; dear sisters, June Myatis of Fulton, Ill., and Ruth Staggs of Centerville, Tenn.; proud grandfather to eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and many dear friends.

Funeral: In celebration of his life, funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2016, at Irwin Chapel, Granite City, Ill., with the Rev. Charles West officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Hill Memorial Estates, Glen Carbon, Ill.
