Casimir J. Hummert, 90, of Mascoutah, Ill., born Aug. 1, 1925 in Fayetteville Township, Ill., died Friday, Mar. 18, 2016 in the same home that he was born in and lived all his life.
Casimir was a retired farmer, a member of St. Pancratius Catholic Church in Fayetteville, Ill., and an avid hunter. He enjoyed being in the woods, and in recent years riding his golf cart around the farm.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph C. and Mary E., nee Loesker, Hummert.
Surviving are his wife, Lois M., nee Sandheinrich, Hummert whom he married in St. Libory, Ill., on June 1, 1949; five children, Steve Hummert, Sr. and friend Patsy of Mascoutah, Ill., Lucy (Doug) Johnston of Mascoutah, Ill., James (Denise) Hummert of Mascoutah, Ill., Jodi (Tommy) Pouleizos of Imperial, Mo., and Curt (Jenny) Hummert of Mascoutah, Ill.; 12 grandchildren, Melissa, Michelle, Steve "Dude" Jr., Shaun, Cortney, Josh, Tony, Austin, Mitchell, Casey, Chelsi, Haley; and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 20, 2016 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, Ill.
Funeral: A funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Monday, March 21, 2016 at St. Pancratius Catholic Church in Fayetteville, Ill., with Father Omar Mauer officiating. Burial follow in St. Pancratius Catholic Cemetery, Fayetteville, Ill.
