Cecelia O. Siegel, nee Haas, 89, of Mascoutah, Ill., born Oct. 31, 1926, in Mascoutah Township, Ill., died Saturday, Sept. 3, 2016 at her home.
After graduating from high school, Cecelia worked in St. Louis, Mo., for a while and for Illinois Power Co. in Belleville, Ill., until she got married, and then raised her family on her family farm. She was a member of Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah, Ill., HCCCW, Holy Childhood Mother's Club, and the St. Clair County Farm Bureau.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Anna, nee Christ, Haas; her husband, Norman J. Siegel, whom she married May 11, 1948, in Mascoutah, Ill.; a daughter, Helen Thouvenot; a son, Jerome Siegel; a son-in-law, George Wilkerson; three sisters, Mary (Harold) Wangelin, Mildred (Gene) Fellin, and Clara (Gene) Anstedt.
Surviving are six children, Rose Mary Wilkerson of Fillmore, Ill., James (Catherine) Siegel of Mascoutah, Ill., Ann Marie (Mike) Pace of Mascoutah, Ill., Carol (Jeff) Winter of Belleville, IL, Ruth Siegel of Tacoma, Wash., and Gerald (Jill) Siegel of Mascoutah, Ill.; a son-in-law, Ken (Carole) Thouvenot of O'Fallon, Ill.; 23 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2016, at Moll Funeral Home, Mascoutah, Ill. A prayer service will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Funeral: A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, 2016, at Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah, Ill., with Father Paul Wilhelm officiating. Burial will be in Holy Childhood Catholic Cemetery, Mascoutah, Ill.
