Clara Jeannette Baldwin, 83, of Smithton, Ill., born Jan. 4, 1933, in East St. Louis, Ill., died March 1, 2016, at her residence.
Clara was a member of the Community Bible Church of Swansea, Ill. She married Richard Baldwin on Aug. 5, 1950, in Piggott, Ark., and was at his side on March 15, 2012, when he died.
Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, William and Lenora, nee Schaal, Hopkins; daughter, Michele Rensing; her sisters, Laura Mazeka, Elizabeth Dunning, Rose Mary Jones, Hilda Cheseldine, and Margaret Little; her brothers, George Hopkins and Stephen Hopkins; and great-grandchildren, Mary Rensing and Mycheal Crawford.
Surviving are her sons, Michael (Linda) Baldwin and Martin (Roberta) Baldwin, both of Smithton, Ill.; her grandchildren, Michael (Rebecca) Rensing Jr., of Muskegon, Mich., Deborah (Eric) Benedick of Smithton, Ill., Deanna Michele Baldwin of Belleville, Ill., Jamie (David) Jennings of Williamsburg, Va., Margaret (Robert) Amato of Annapolis, Md., and Richard (fiancee, Morgan Witzke) Baldwin of Collinsville, Ill.; great-grandchildren, Tyler Baldwin, Austin Zipfel Baldwin; Abigail, Daniel, and William Benedick; Ashleigh, and Michael Rensing III; Bryce, Jacob, and Isaac Jennings; and nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Visitation: Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 11, 2016, at Community Bible Church, 4940 Benchmark Centre, Swansea, Ill.
Funeral: A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 11, 2016, at the church with Pastor Steve Rogier officiating. Graveside services will be at 12:45 p.m. at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. St. Louis, Mo. Flower deliveries may be made from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Community Bible Church, 4940 Benchmark Centre, Swansea, Ill.
