Clarissa C. Imming, nee Schaefer, 94, of Red Bud, Ill., born May 10, 1921, in Smithton, Ill., passed away May 6, 2016, at Red Bud Regional Care Center.
Mrs. Imming was a homemaker. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and St. Ann Altar Sodality.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Imming Sr., whom she married on May 10, 1941, and who died Nov. 28, 1979; her parents, Nic and Mary, nee Lang, Schaefer; a son, Bernard Imming Jr.; three brothers, Nic, Fred and Arthur Schaefer; and five sisters, Emma Birkner, Sally Payne, Frances Schaefer, Lorinda Reichert and Margaret Cortner.
Surviving are her children, Janet (Ralph) Henry of Red Bud, Ill., Diane (Larry) Mudd of Prairie du Rocher, Ill., Darlene (Raymond) Bievenue of Red Bud, Ill., and Barbara (David) Koch of Red Bud, Ill.; a daughter-in-law, Charlene Imming of Prairie du Rocher, Ill.; a sister-in-law, Zita Hartman of Florida; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to St. John's Tuition Fund, St. John's Organ Fund or Hospice.
Visitation: Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 9, 2016, and from 9 to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Koch-Liefer Funeral Home, Red Bud, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2016, at St. John's Catholic Church, Red Bud, Ill., with Msgr. Dennis Schaefer officiating. Burial will be at St. John's Catholic Cemetery, Red Bud, Ill.
