Craig Lee Straub, 63, of Smithton, Ill., born March 8, 1952, in Belleville, Ill., died
Monday, January 25, 2016, in Smithton, Ill., with his loving family at his side.
He was a paraprofessional at Belleville East High School for 22 years and a night school instructor with Belleville Township High School, District 201. Craig was a member of the Sports Car Club of America-Southern Illinois Region, Lotus Seven Club, Lotus Ltd., STALLS, and the MG Club of St. Louis. He was an avid lover of racing all his cars, big and small, and photography. He loved spending time with his family and friends.
Craig was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Edwin Straub.
Surviving are his loving wife, Cynthia, nee Wottowa, Straub; a daughter, Amanda (Matthew Bridwell) Straub; a son, Gregory (Rebecca) Straub; his mother, Delores, nee Alderfer, Straub; a grandson, Noah Straub; a brother, Scott (Beth) Straub; a sister, Cathy (Al) Downs; and many beloved family and friends.
Memorials in Craig's name may be made to the American Brain Tumor Association.
