David L.K. Douthitt passed away Sunday, March 17, 2013, at the age of 24. He was born and raised in Hawaii, having moved to Belleville last year.
David was employed at Cracker Barrel of Shiloh. He enjoyed musicals and participated in several musicals at Kauai High School. He also enjoyed music, food, and friends.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Graciela and H. Clinton Steele; and his foster papa, Henry Santiago.
Surviving are his mother, Lucy Douthitt of Lihue, Kauai, Hawaii; a sister, Chantelle Gayagas; two nephews, Cyrus and Channing; foster mama, Rosita Santiago; an uncle, Bill (Mary) Douthitt of Belleville, Ill.; multiple aunts, uncles, and cousins; and long-term best friend, Paul Pennington of Belleville, Ill.
