Dennis Wayne White, 64, of New Memphis, Ill., born Nov. 25, 1951, in Milan, Tenn., died Thursday, June 23, 2016, at his residence.
Dennis was a retired electrician from Clayshire Electric in St. Louis, Mo.; a member of First Baptist Church, Mascoutah, Ill.; and the I.B.E.W. Local 1 in St. Louis, Mo.
Dennis wrote music and was a member of several bands in the area and in Tennessee. He enjoyed watching Cardinal Baseball, and spending time with his grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Earline, nee Bray, White.
Surviving are his wife, Genie F., nee Showalter, White whom he married in O'Fallon, Ill., on May 31, 1980; three children, Joshua (Kathi) White of Belleville, Ill., April (Richard) Sturgill of Mascoutah, Ill., and Melody White of Fairview Heights, Ill.; five grandchildren, Andrew, Josh, Emily, Noah, and Christopher; his father and stepmother, Robert W. and Nettie Jo White of Trezevant, Tenn.; a sister, Vicki (Bill) Bohnenstiehl of
Lebanon, Ill.; a brother, Gary White of Huntingdon, Tenn.; and numerous other family
members and friends.
Visitation: There will be no visitation.
Funeral: A Memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at First Baptist Church, Mascoutah, Ill., with the Pastor Duane Smith and Rev. Matthew Burton officiating.
