Don Langenhorst, 54, of Germantown, Ill., born Dec. 7, 1961, in Belleville, Ill., died Thursday, March 24, 2016, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Belleville, Ill.

Don was the road commissioner for Germantown, Twp. He loved hunting, working, farming and just out to have fun. He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Germantown, Sons of the American Legion Post 325, Germantown, Quail Forever, Township Officials for Illinois, Germantown Community Development, Committee for Spassfest Parade, Cornerstone Dice Team.

He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Cletus Toennies.

Surviving are his wife, Marla, nee Toennies, Langenhorst, whom he married on June 3, 1983, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Germantown; children, Derek Langenhorst and Claire Langenhorst both of Germantown; his parents, Frank and Shirley, nee Worms, Langenhorst; brothers and sisters, Ron (Mary Kay) Langenhorst of Germantown, Connie Loepker of Germantown, Jeanne (Allen) Petree of Lake of the Ozarks, Mo., and Sandy (Tony) Talbot of Stockton, Calif.; mother-in-law, Bernette Toennies of Germantown; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jeff (Monica) Toennies of Highland, Chuck (Barb) Toennies of Troy, Carl (Darla) Toennies of Albers, Michelle (Kevin) McElfresh of St. Peters, Mo., Andy (Beth) Toennies of St. Rose, Ryan (Angie) Toennies of Breese.

Visitation: Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 25, 2016, and from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 26, 2016, at the Moss Funeral Home, Germantown, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 26, 2016, at St. Boniface Catholic Church with Father James Buerster officiating. Interment will be in St. Boniface Cemetery.
