Donald White, 74, of O'Fallon, Ill., born Nov. 5, 1941, in Glasgow, Mo., departed this earth Monday, May 30, 2016, at Memorial East Hospital, Shiloh, Ill.
He attended Evans School and graduated from Armstrong High School. He was employed at the United States Postal Service for 20 years, St. Louis University for 2 years, and the United States Air Force for 24 years. Donald was a hardworking man and took enormous pride in being a part of the United States Air Force. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Zelphyr Ann, nee Dibble, White, whom he married on May 3, 1962, in Mexico, Mo., and who preceded him in death on Dec. 7, 2010; his parents, Richard and Clotile, nee Ward, White; a brother, John Ward; and a sister, Minnie White.
Left to mourn his passing, are two daughters, Donna White of O'Fallon, Ill., and Latricia (Wack) Gueye of Seattle, Wash.; two brothers, Madison White of St. Louis, MO and James White of Little Rock, Ark.; two sisters, Chaney White of Davenport, Iowa, and Margaret White of Washington D.C.; two grandchildren, Sokhna Gueye, and Abdoul Ahad Gueye, both of Seattle, Wash.; and special friend and companion, Emma Mosley
Memorial contributions are suggested to Family's Choice, in care of the funeral home.
Funeral: Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 4, 2016, at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home, Glasgow, Mo., with Rev. Thomas Whitley officiating.
Burial was in Lincoln Cemetery, Glasgow, Mo.
