Dorothy C. Keim, nee Kalbfleisch, 85, of Millstadt, Ill., born Feb. 25, 1928, died July 23, 2013.
Dorothy was a homemaker, talented seamstress, and proud "farm wife". With her husband, Walter, she tended their farm fields, livestock, and vegetable garden but always made time to help family and friends in need. She was a member of Zion Evangelical Church in Millstadt and a charter member of Millstadt Sister Cities.
She was preceded in death by her parents, J. Monroe and Elsie, nee Haas, Kalbfleisch; her husband, Walter C. Keim, whom she married on May 16, 1948; a sister, Marie Kleinschmidt; and sister-in-law, Bernice Fichter.
Surviving are her daughters, Charlene (Otto) Faulbaum of Millstadt and Charlotte (Doug) McDermand of Charleston, Ill.; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Kevin) Hagarty, Rebecca Watson-Keiser (Troy Keiser), Kelly McDermand, and Ryan McDermand; step-grandsons, James (Robyn) Faulbaum and Timothy Faulbum; great-grandchildren, Alexandra Watson, Garrett Hagarty, Joseph Watson, Bridget Hagarty and Braylen McDermand; a brother, Monroe (Edna) Kalbfleisch; sister-in-law, Rosetta Reeves; and brother-in-law, Ronald (Geraldine) Keim.
