Dorris Frederick Daniel Keim, 94, of Marissa, Ill., died at 11 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, at Sparta Community Hospital in Sparta, Ill.
He was born on May 13, 1918, to Frederick Michael Keim and Emma, nee Kunze, Keim in Marissa, Ill. He worked 34 years in the United States Postal Service and served four years in the military. He was a member and past president of the Marissa Lions Club, Marissa Rotary Club, Randolph County Shrine Club, Marissa Board of Education, and past patron of Amaryllis Chapter 750 OES. He was a life member of the VFW Post 2698, American Legion Post 172, Scottish Rite, Marissa Masonic Lodge 881 and Randolph Shrine Club. He was also a member of Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels, Moose Lodge 1221, Marissa Lions, Shriners (AINAD Temple), Amaryllis Chapter 750 OES and Royal Neighbors of America. He was a recipient of the Lion's Melvin Jones Fellowship Award.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverley C., nee Boden, Keim; and a grandson, Matthew A. Wayland.
Survivors include his daughter, Gail (Jack) Templeton and grandsons, Andrew Templeton and Eric (Eve) Wayland, his son, David (Pam Mayo) Keim and grandsons Michael (fiancee Aundrea) Keim, Phillip (fiancee Janet) Keim, Ryan (Danyale) Keim.

Visitation: Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013, and 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 25, 2013, at Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in Marissa, Ill.
Funeral: Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 25, 2013, at Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in Marissa, Ill., with Rev. Gail Geisel officiating. Burial will be held at the Marissa Township Cemetery in Marissa, Ill.
